[Day 12] Nipple Test.

I just realized a few things:
  1. Sometimes my nipples look tiny.
  2. Sometimes my look look large.
  3. Most of the time my nipples are hairy.
  4. Most of the time my nipples are dark.
That is all.  Repeating workout sets I've already done once does NOT make them easier...  This whole thing gets harder by the day.  Still motivated, though.  It may be all in my head, but I think I'm beginning to see a physical change in my body.

[Day 7] Rollin' along.

Sooo, this is day 7, and I'm about to do another workout.  Sound weird?  Well, I took my off-day yesterday because there was really no time for a workout.  Hopefully it doesn't throw me off too badly.  I've done 5 INSANITY workouts so far, and I think Pure Cardio was the toughest thus far. Today comes another Plyometric Cardio Circuit just like day 2, so at least I finally know what I'm getting into.

Eating is still difficult, but my new girlfriend-gifted blender will help tremendously.  Still finding groceries I never knew existed.

Also, I recalculated my necessary Calories and found that I was a bit wrong in saying I needed about 2,300 Cal.  I really need more like 2,800 - 2,900 Calories.  Sadly I can't get that even with the 500 Calorie meal additions, and I generally feel full after eating a 500 Calorie meal.  I guess I'll suck it up and try to stuff myself with more food, though, but I figure as long as I'm eating until I'm full I'm doing well.

[Day 1] How do chefs keep up with all their ingredients?

Alright, I picked probably the easiest meals to make for the next three days, and I ended up at the grocery store for almost 2 hours and spending $150.  Sure, I had to buy larger quantities than what the individual meals called for, but goodness, I hope it gets easier to purchase ingredients to eat well.

Maybe it's the grocery chains that push this, or maybe it's the people making the food, but I found out tonight there's a difference between whole grain, whole wheat, half-wheat, whole wheat with whole grains, 100% whole grain, etc... It's easier to find bread labeled as "healthy" and with some sort of freaking "grain" today than it is to find old-fashioned white bread.

I uploaded "before" shots of myself along with this post.  Please see below

Pretty pathetic, huh?  And now you may no longer be asking yourself why I want to change my body.  I'm not only small, but I've noticed I'm fairly weak.  Sure, I'm lean, and I have quite a bit of endurance, but I attribute those to my small size.  I not only want to bulk up a bit for the lady-friend and for my own self-esteem, but I'd like to be stronger as well and build some endurance in the process.

Well that's it for tonight.  Thanks for reading.

[Day 0] Nutrition plan, I'm no fan.

Welp, started looking at INSANITY with the girlfriend a few days ago.  I'm so excited that she's going to be doing it with me, even though it'll be 180 miles to the west.  I honestly don't think I could even begin this thing without her, and I highly doubt I'd ever be able to finish it without a predicted 3 to 4 "pick me up onto my feet" moments from her along the way.

So far, I've realized that I eat like shit.  Half the battle for me will be changing my diet and making sure I get my 5 meals throughout the day.  Not only that, they have to have a very specific ratio of all that good stuff that helps me build muscle and become healthy.  Luckily, the nutrition guide includes sample meals that actually sound quite appetizing, but are still very far from what I'm used to eating on a daily basis.  We'll see how my first grocery shopping experience goes once I get all the meal options into an Excel spreadsheet (yes, the geek in me required it, and I think my girlfriend already appreciates it half-finished).

That's it for now. I'll let you all know how the first workout goes...
